I am wondering if two Lionel Fastrack switches (newer one with remote control built in) can be wired to one controller.  I have two sets of 072 switches creating a connection between outside track and inside track and would like to use only one controller for two switches since they would both need to be either straight through or diverging at the same time.  Curious if the non derailing feature is activated on one, would the other also respond or is it going to create some some type of electrical issues?

Is anyone doing this on the Fastrack switches and does it work OK.

Thanks for the help,

Don

Connecting a single controller does not effect the non-derailing feature.

You through the inside to outside diverging for a train going clockwise. It is left in that position and an outside loop train approaches the switch from counter-clockwise direction. Snap. It's moves to thru and the trains passes without derailment.

How do I know? My grandson distracted me this past Sunday and then accelerated his train and hit the switch in that fashion. I looked at the lanterns and then hit RTE 1 thru and returned the pair for both loops.
