Hi all! Today I went to my LHS, ordered the UP premier 5 car passenger set, smooth side from the MTH 2017 Vol 2 catalogue and the UP Station Sounds diner from Lionel. I bought a small roll of shaper sheet. I'm going to re-do the top of my mountain with this. I have seen some videos about how to use it. I'll do video reviews when I get those two items I ordered. I might do a video review of Shaper Sheet also. Looks like a neat, very easy way to do scenery.

The Shaper Sheets are just great. I made the mistake of layering them on too thick. A thin layer is enough, because you will be covering it with scenery. I also like the WS rock molds for rock outcroppings. If you use Hydrocal, it wont weigh as much as Plaster of Paris.
I have used WS rock molds and Lightweight Hydrocal before to make my rocks. IT a good way to make rocks. I like that method.

Don't worry DKDKRD, over time people will still be calling this company woodland scenics and the corporate "genius" who thought of changing the name will forever have egg on his face. After all, the public did force Coke to take back Coke II and " shove it" we the hard core hobbyist can continuously call woodland as Woodland Scenics! Eventually corporate will get the correct name beaten in their heads.
Seriously, doesn't Woodland Scenics really know how many companies are out there called "woodland" alone?

1 - I have used the shaper sheet and so far I like 'em....not for a mountain but for creating varying terrain levels...looks pretty good so far
2- when did Woodland Scenic have a name change???...Have not seen that yet and I order from them often
3 - KYSOUTHERN - I did see a post where someone said that the foil in the sheets may be effecting their Lionel Legacy command control...
