After looking at 200 ton wooden coaling tower kits, which l thought were unlikely for this shortline, and not happy with a modern concrete one, l decided to attempt to model a wooden tower with one chute from a Plasticville kit, so it didn't LOOK like a Plasticville tower. This is unfinished. Cables, levers, and sand piping are to do.

Great job Colorado Hirailer!! clapping Superb weathering job! I like how you incorporated the sand tower into coal tower structure .... very creative! Looks like the perfect size sand house for a short line too.

Trumptrain: this was modeled after a prototype that comes up when googling "coaling tower", with attached sand house, and l liked compact appearance.
