I have laid all of my tubular track.  I started to hook up the wiring today and when I hooked up the block that included some O22 switch tracks, I am getting a short.  Take a look at the two videos.  I don't think I should be getting a continuity reading between the center rail and any of the outside rails, including the control rails.  What to you think ?

By the way, when I removed all of the O22 switches, the short goes away.

The videos are of two different switch tracks.

Don't I feel foolish.  It wasn't the switch tracks at all.  I have forgotten so much after being away from Lionel trains for so long.  The continuity I am getting is normal.  It's how the non-derailing feature works.

Here's the foolish part.  I was thinking that the switches were the cause of the short.  However, when I looked under the layout, at my wiring that wasn't yet connected to the terminal blocks, I found I had twisted the red and white wires together so they could be pushed through a hole in the platform.  The wire ends were already striped !  The other end of the pair was already soldered to the center and outside rails !

I must apologize for causing a stir.  Thank you Martin, Trainman129, ADCX Rob and Arnold for coming to my aid.
