Recently had a 3 year old visit my layout and wanted to try my trains. So I let him use the Lionel-Chief remote figuring even a 3 year old could learn to use it. I gave him instructions on how to use it and he did fine, except that he insisted on churning the control to full speed. Well I got though this adventure and decided to build a little wood device I could slide on my remote to prevent a very young child from sending my engine into apoplexy. I've included the plan here and more details and pictures are available for free download at my blog if you think this is something you might find handy. Next time I'll be ready.
Hope I put this in the proper location on this forum.
