I may be dumb as dirt but I cannot figure out how to sire the dwarf signal to a tortoise switch machine. I can only get the red light to work. How is the proper way to do it? A diagram would be most appreciated.
On the DZ-1011, connect the BLACK wire (COMMON) to pin 4 of the tortoise. (The RED wire on DZ-1011 connects to 12-14 VAC.) Then connect the WHITE wire on DZ-1011 to either pin 2 or 3 on the tortoise, depending on desired signal color for the switch position.
For the DZ-1011, when the WHITE wire is connected to COMMON, the GREEN LED will go out and the RED LED will light.
I’m guessing when the turnout is straight through you want a green light shown and when the diverging route is thrown. You want it to change to red.
whatever your using as far as a power supply for voltage for the lights. You can run the common to the common on the dwarf signal. Run the power wire from your voltage supply to terminal 4. Depending on how you want the lights lit up. Your switching power from terminal 2 and 3 to your lights by how the Tortoise is positioned.
