Has anyone wired a two-headed Z-stuff signal? The IR detector worked fine for changing the upper head from green to red but I can't seem to figure how to approporiately wire the bottom head for IR detection. I had purchased a DZ-1070 IR detector and connected its white wire to the orange wire of the lower signal head, but all I am getting is a change from green to yellow (or red to yellow).

1. I assume you mean the 1050 signal? Did you remember to cover the sensor on the signal with electrical tape? If you cover the sensor with tape then connect the 1050 yellow wire to the gray wire of your 1070 detector. Then red to red and black to black. The 1050 white wire hangs free unless you want to connect it to the yellow wire of another 1050 further down the track. Connecting the signal yellow wire to the 1070 gray keeps the signal green until the detector is tripped then the signal goes red. Note if connecting to the 1070 gray wire does not work properly then try connecting to the 1070 white wire.

2. I'm not sure about an 'orange' wire - do you mean red?

3. I have not used a double signal. If they have two sets of the standard white and yellow wires then you can connect them to two different detectors.

4. As a fast check to make sure the signal is working take the tape off the sensor and connect both red and black to transformer power/ground. The lights should be green until you cover the sensor with your finger.

From the product description the yellow wire is the input for the upper head. The orange wire is the input for the bottom head. These wires connect to the white or gray wire of the individual 1070 detector. If the orange wire when connected to the 1070 white wire does not work then try connecting it to the 1070 gray wire.
