Z4000 Accessories Question

The 14 Volt terminal is only rated for 3 amps (1.5 on the early models). That looks to be a pretty good load for that terminal. Using the right side variable output would probable be best.

@H1000, what voltage would you recommend running the right side at?

I run the Gantry Crane and Lionel/AF oil drum loader at 12v, but 10-14 works fine.  The bulbs are probably rated at 18v so going lower helps with bulb life.  According to Lionel's instructions, post-war accessories should be run on 10-14v.

Most everything will work great at 13 volts or so.  That's what I like to run everything at if possible. Bulbs also seem to last longer that way.
