I have noticed lately that when I turn on my MTH z4000 for the first time. Pushing the start up button only that the read out on the voltage meter (left side) jumps to 40 volts and the red light blinks, the amps stay at 0 . Then just as quickly(second or less) everything returns to normal. This is happening every time before any power is applied to the track and only the left hand controller. Do I have a problem here? Thanks

Electronics limit the output per handle to 20V or so at around 10A.

I actually looked at mine yesterday when remembering this thread.

I get     40       00    on the voltage line and

01      24     on the current line.

This Z4K was purchased about 8 years ago, so I am wondering if the readings shown for the current are some sort of an internal version of the unit (probably only useful to MTH for troubleshooting or repair services, I think from an operational standpoint all Z4ks are the same)
