ZW as power source for Cab1 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I plan to use my old school ZW as the power source to a legacy powermaster for a Cab-1L / Base-1L system. I have the 6-12893 power adapter to connect the ZW to the powermaster. Has anyone experienced any issues with this type of set-up? I heard a conversation at a train show that suggested a "grounding" problem because the ZW, like all post war transformers, did not have the 3-prong ground or fat blade plug to the 120v outlet. Any advice?

The only thing that needs to be grounded is the wall wart for the Base-1L.

People who do not understand electrical things imagine all sorts of scenarios that are pretty far out.

The old ZW, if it is fully operational, will do the job just fine.

I suggest a quality circuit breaker on the output of the ZW, other than that it's fine.
