Seen Regan's instructional video on the ZW-C.From what I understand, the ZW-C has to power up before the  bricks in order to come up in command mode.If I plug the ZWC and all 4 bricks to a remote dust collector circuit together, and all five pieces come on together,is the system going to come up in conventional or command? OR is this not a good idea?Nick

Ok can I have the command base,ZW-C and four bricks come on at the same time?I want the system to come up in command.NickOriginally Posted by MartyE:

The command base has to come up first not the ZWC.  The brick power the ZWC any ways.

In the past I had my layout come up with one switch and never had an issue with the ZWC not being in command mode but now the way I wired,  the command base comes on when I plug in, the rest when I throw a switch.

Your mileage may vary.

ok thanx for the quick response.I have a legacy base.NickOriginally Posted by MartyE:

I have done it this way but with a TMCC1 base.  As I said some folks are pretty adamant about the base being on first.

I should say this setup was with a Cab1 base.  The Cab 2 does have a boot cycle so I suspect it may need to come on first.  At least 5 seconds before the ZW.  Since the 990 had a charger I had it on before the switch to charge and really never had it come on at the same time since going to Legacy.

So if you have TMCC1 you should be ok but try it.  990, I would err on the side of caution and get the base on first.

We have 4 bricks, the ZW-C, Cab 1, Cab2, and 2 TIUs all plugged into the same power strip. We turn the power strip on, everything comes on at the same time, and it works. I know some say it shouldn't, or the Base should be first.....but if it ain't broke, why fix it?

We've been doing it this way for about a year and a half, and never had an issue.

Worst case, try it, and if it don't work the way you want it, change it up so the base comes up first.
