Hello all,

I have a ZW(R) transformer than I'm updating.  Need help on a couple of things.

On the replacing the whistle circuit disc rectifier. What is a correct stud mount rectifier part # to order for this transformer?

I did this upgrade on an PW LW transformer which worked out well. On the LW it took a NTE5870(discontinued) which is among other things a cathode to case type.  I searched around on this forum for the ZW mod and the only part number I've found on this forum is  NTE5991 which is anode to case.  I believe this matters. Does anyone know if this difference is correct and is the NTE5991 ok to use.

Also need a new power cord. Does anyone know of a source for heavy duty(read thick/beefy) replacement power cord.  Purchased some from mouser several years back but they are pretty flimsy looking/feeling.  I have some extra pc power cords which are stouter with third ground wire but haven't seen where this, hooking up a ground internally is done on these.

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks Don

I found a reference in my folder of old articles and invoices.

If someone else is looking the 1N1190AR is said to be a good fit in the ZW case.   At time of this posting http://www.allelectronics.com/...OLT-RECTIFIER/1.html; carries it.

Allelectronics has competitive pricing on some items so looks like I'll put together an order for some other items needed for work.

Still haven't found a power cord I like.
