1/43 scale Greyhound "super scenicruiser" bus size

Just a thought as I am not familiar with the Lionel bus, but Lionel uses 1:64 (S-Scale) for many of their tractor trailers (semi trucks) on flat cars. Maybe their bus is S-Scale as well?

OTOH, those Scenicruisers were pretty large, it could possibly be the length of 3 cars?

The corgi bus line is 1/50th so you will see some difference in size, more if the real Super Scenic Cruiser is longer than the City Bus. Wikipedia show this model at 29, 35, and 40 feet.

Here is a calculator I found on Google to convert inches to S scale 1:64 and back. 

According to Rusty's dimensions, a 40 foot bus would scale out to be 7.5 inches long in S scale and about 1.78 inches wide.

This is not a scenic cruiser, but it is from about the same era, and is advertised at 1:64 scale, and is  advertised at only 3.5 inches long.

I ordered one for my layout, a little pricey, but I have always thought these things were outrageous.

And I want a Scenic cruiser also, or at least the early 50's vintage GMC bus lettered for Greyhound.  Very hard to find in 1:64.

Using the 96" width of a Greyhound divided by the 2.5" of the model I think you'll find the scale to be close to 1:30.    John

I just used a scale calculator for the GM Futurliner and based on the size of the real one, 32'10" the 1/64 scale model should be about 6.5 inches.  I sure hope it comes in close to that.
