1st. The engine did not have a dashing Dan logo so I added the decal. I then weathered it based on this photo reference,

To do the weathering I used paint blending techniques. I then cut the vent covers out of styrene, drilled holes, and painted them using testors flat cherry & tangerine colors. Mixing to match the MTH LIRR orange. I then used gorilla glue to secure them over the vents. I also sanded & painted the control stand & turned the engineer figure in facing the controls.
