Guys, I'm a little overwhelmed and still more embarrassed to say, "I don't know what to do."
I have successfully run DCS with the first generation TIU for years...A friend updated it to version 6.10.
Occasionally, I would experiment with WIU when it came out, but struggled ever having any satisfaction because of undependable signal and switched back to exclusively operating TIU via handheld remote...I loved it.
The last several months I've quit running trains because of continued programming problems with old reliable handheld. (eg. associated with, say, the recovery of a "lost" engine...even when trying to reset with a dedicated isolated control track.)
Now, getting ready for Christmas running for grandkids, kids in community and people from church, I HAVE BEEN able to operate postwar Lionel F-3s, Kuhn era FMs, MTH PS-1s etc. via variable output including through WIU ...BUT...
...with DCS remote and WIU in FIXED mode, I CANNOT RUN TRAINS...they're not even recognized. I only get "no new engines" or "engine not found" or "engine not on track" messages.
Is it possible I have somehow "done" something or something has "happened" with the FIXED voltage channels only? Is that something a pastor (ie. not an electrician) can fix?
You guys were great helping the othe day getting the WIU on home router network...any help here would be more than greatly appreciated.
Thanks, and the Lord be with you...
