Definitely German sub titles. I really like the track mechanism- simple, effective, and if it had rained it would have self dried quickly.

The local was speaking a Swiss German dialect (there are several, not to mention the French- and Italian-speaking Swiss); the narrator was speaking standard German. The Swiss German dialect was so different from the Standard German (Hochdeutsch) that they needed German subtitles.
The banjo music I can't explain.
The coupler issues, we can all explain.
Europe usually looks so...tidy. The US usually looks more like a tackle box thrown down a flight of stairs.
