18009 Mohawk

I recently bought a lionel Mohawk 18009 and the two red lights on the back of the tender stopped working along with the backup light. Could this be because the back up light bulb burnt out or did I possibly fry the circuit board? All the wires seem to be tight and the engine still runs. Any suggestions would be welcome

These are nice models, in spite of the Pullmor AC motor, and lack of complete valve gear. But the electronics are fragile; mine - before it's upgrade to command and Railsounds (and a can motor) - had the chuffing die on its own, which was, in all honesty, a relief.

I doubt that you did anything wrong; this loco cries out for upgrading to ERR electronic

equipment. See Modern Toy Train Parts website; call Bill.
