I was guessing that the U30C was going to be produced soon, since it had not been made for years.

@Paul Graf, will the CN 8-40CW, have Gull-Wing Cabs?

The pdf catalog mentions "Santa Fe & BNSF locos feature a “Gull-Wing” cab".

Since all the CN 8-40CWs were former Santa Fe, would they also have these unique cabs?

Yes, these BNSF will have the gull wing cab.

But, will the Canadian National Dash-8, also have the Gull -Wing cabs?

The road numbers, 2141 & 2152, that Atlas chose for this run, CN got these from BNSF, which were former ATSF models, with Gull-Wing cabs.

But there are other CN 8-40CW that were former Illinois Central locomotives which appear to have cabs similar to former Conrail 8-40CW.

Would Atlas consider producing a 'traditional' version of the diesel engines (i.e. without DCS)

Prior to Atlas' alliance with MTH, all Atlas engines were TMCC

There are many Atlas loyalists (using TMCC) who don't see the need to purchase another control system (DCS) to run Atlas engines

How come there are no scale wheel, fixed pilot Premier GP40's for the 2nd time since Atlas acquired the tooling for this model? MTH offered a 2-rail version. Makes no sense to do a scale wheel fixed pilot Premier GP38-2 but not a GP40.

Is Atlas working on a Master GP40-2?

Ditto, one control system is sufficient.   Offering a conventional version allows user modification without having to trash the dcs components.   I imagine there is some agreement put in place when the tooling was obtained. 

I support the idea of selling conventional engines. I’m a member of the Austin Tinplate Trackers and our club’s primary operating system in TMCC.  Having to buy new engines at additional expense for circuitry we are planning to take out is aggravating.
