I have a pair of Atlas O 3-rail Dash 8 39B diesels in the BC Rail paint scheme. One diesel is powered, and the other is unpowered. I bought the engines back in 2004 and I have been collecting engines and cars ever since. It has only been withing the last year (2024) that I finally made a layout with the help of some great friends. I have slowly been taking trains out of their original packing and starting to run them. The track and wiring is done for the most part but no building or scenery have been started. It is a single level layout but that is OK because I'm getting a little old to be climbing around in the basement. Anyway, would someone be able to explain why the dummy unit has pickup rollers? The lights do not work (should they?), no electro couplers and there are no electric motors or sound. I would appreciate any enlightenment. The dummy unit has no instructions. But neither do I. At least my lights do work, and I make sounds. Thanks for any help.
