Any word on a 2020 Macy's boxcar ?

For some reason, seem to recall that there was no Macy's boxcar produced in 2019. Makes me wonder if these have been discontinued for good?
But maybe I'm just showing my age and fading memory. I'm sure others will weigh in.
I just checked the Macy’s site and could nothing for an “O” or “S” car for 2020.
No Macy's Box car. No Santa in Macy's. No Lionel Trains in Macy's while you wait to see Santa.
No Lionel trains for sale in Macy's.

What you should simply check for is the word "Lionel." Thats what I did and found nothing that would interest any of us. (Pretty sure there was never a Macy's S gauge car offered). Not to sat that an item may pop up in the next month or so. I have most of the colorful Lionel "Macy's Parade" cars from 10 years or so ago, but, in my opinion, the 2-3 most recent Lionel Macy's cars sure left much to be desired in the decoration department.
Given that no car was made in 2019 and that Macy’s is desperately trying to survive in an era of failing department stores, I don’t think the retailer is interested in small collector market offerings anymore. The tradition has been broken, somewhat quietly, but it is really no surprise.
Modern times... another one bites the dust... it's a pity
A lot of what Macy's sells has to do with what strikes the buyer as salable. There is also the possibility that the buyer that was responsible for the Lionel/Macy's connection no longer is in that position.
