Walter,

I have been watching your video tribute for the past few years and every year those videos really get the emotions stirring. There's not a person in this country who should not be thanking a veteran every chance he or she gets. It's because of these brave individuals that we are able to enjoy certain pleasures such as our toy trains.

Walter, thanks for putting this tribute together every year and thank you for your service.

On this Memorial Day...What is the definition of a soldier...a soldier is a person who by being in military service to America issues a blank undated check payable to the United States of America in any amount up to and including his life.    Thankfully, my family has never paid the full amount offered but it came close a few times with my dad, Grandpa and Uncles. On our farm we dedicated, last fall, a special place remembering all with IMG_20231204_151626_hdra USA flag that flies ever day. We visit with them often. My soon to be future grandson-in-law USMC was there that day...fresh out of Paris Island.       Walter

Congrats!

Walter it was the early 70's, I was a little boy and my Uncle Rusty had just got home from a place called Vietnam.  He wanted to know if I would like to go to a hobby shop where I bought a Lionel Monon boxcar.  It was years later before I really understood what my Uncle had been through and to this day I have that boxcar.  To my Uncle Rusty and those who have passed may they rest in peace and to all the veterans still with us "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You"

Sincerely Dwayne
