I posted a question concerning my Lionel 2065 locomotive that tends to have hot rollers and is generally a little sluggish. I was checking some connections on it, mainly checking for unusual resistance. I noticed that with the brush plate off, and the brushes out, I still get continuity between both brush holders and the rollers, even though one brush grounds to the frame. Is this normal? According to what I have read, one brush grounds on the frame, while the other brush connects to the e unit finger on the far left, if I am looking at the front of the locomotive. This locomotive's brush connects to the finger that is the second from the left on the e unit. I think someone got their connections crossed on this one, it has been rewired at some point. If anyone has any experience with this type of repair, please let me know. Steve
