Does anyone know the proper number of ball bearings used in the 2332 motor??

Hi,
When I had one I was told to but in as much as you can by George Tebolt. I was able
to get at least 8 or 10. They do fit loose in there.

For the 622-100X motor (not all that dissimilar to the 2332, 671 and 726 motor) the Lionel service manual indicates nine bearings. The answer above is pretty spot on.

I think Lionel avoided answering the question of how many balls are to be used in the early thrust bearings because their own application of these balls was so inconsistent.
It's been a while, but I think seven is the magic number. I recall using that many in Turbines and the 2332 uses the same motor.
