How hard is it to replace the pickup assembly on 254e as both ends are broken off

Not bad, I use a battery clamp spreader to gently open the side plates without distorting and gently pry the old one out and the new one in. Sometimes filing on the tabs of the new one eases placement. Make sure you solder wire lead on pu before puttng in place
