More information would be helpful.
1) What part of the locomotive is derailing?
2) What type of track do you have, and are there any "kinks" within the curve/curves.
3) Does it derail in always the same location, on on every curve of your layout?
4) Maybe a video would help?
Atlas and gargraves and 072 curve. Most definately on right hand curve - every time. Sometimes left hand curves. The track is pretty smooth. I will try to make a video
Look out for kinks. Sometimes hard to spot, but they'll do it every time
072 is a minumum. If your curve has a tight or loose joint at one end, it could be slightly tighter. Our 3rd Rail 4-8-4 2900 Class Northern is very picky. Its usually the front truck that hits some of the detail piping, limiting its radius. We also have a couple curves that are 072, but are very tight due to space limitations, and that engine will not go through it no matter what.
If I had it to do over....I woulda made 080 the minimum.
