Why not eMail Scott and ask HIM?

I did -but he has not replied and the order deadline is fast approaching— so I thought I would ask the good folks here for a faster answer— except for a few who are exceptionally impolite

So,,,,,,,,,,suggesting that you eMail Scott directly is "impolite"? Good grief.

I purchased the replacement pilots from Scott from the last RDC run. They look a whole lot better than the three rail pilots.

I also ordered the replacement pilots. Instead of two I received only one. I sent an email and Scott answered the next day even though he was apparently in China. The second pilot showed up a few days later. That’s what service looks like.

I made it easy.  I just ordered a 2 rail one. 

My previous run RDCS did not come with extra pilots in the box.  I have one in 3 rail and one in 2 rail.  A separate order item for this item.

They definitely are an improvement

Will the plastic ones work on the earlier brass cars?

I don't have one of the earlier brass models to compare mine to but let me look at mine over the weekend.  I think the pilots on the plastic RDCs are brass.

According to the last Email from Scott, these latest plastic RDC have been loaded onto the boat and are arriving early August.

I'm excited for this run as I don't have to decal one for CNJ!

I've ordered a RDC-1 and RDC-2 to decal for LIRR. Now I need to sell the two I have lettered for other roads. The LIRR pulled a single steam coach behind their RDC-2 for a while and later routinely hauled an RPO from Babylon to Patchogue that came off an MU train from the city. Love to model that.

Or keep them and have four RDCs!
