I was able to take a little time today to put together the 4th of July Independence Day consist from what I have been collecting. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures!
I like these to the best so for in the July 4th on the photo postings. I took the bottom from a post on the Saturday Switcher Photo post, thanks Bruce!
Well I don't have any trains with Stars and Stripes, but how about these American classics? Texas Special 211 and CNJ 621.

That depot is a dandy. Fits right in to a small village setting just like the gas station. I could find a good spot on the layout for it too.
Bringing back an oldie...but goodie!
Happy 4th everyone!

Had fun running trains at the club earlier today! I picked the locomotive and the caboose to run... And my daughter got to pick all the cars in between .

Our monthly Bradshaw Mountain Highrailers run at our local Prescott mall fell on yesterday - the Fourth. So, I brought a couple of trains to celebrate. The first was actually the first time I had ever run the TCA Bicentennial set while the second is a bit of a stretch to get red-white-blue into a train with 6464's.

Just put the finishing touches on an early Lionel NYC L2a Mohawk. Added ERR Cruise and 4 chuffs. Also some weathering and a Kadee coupler.

Spent the 4th at Ron Timma's Fourth of July Fest at his Hidden Depot Farm B&B. Ron wrote the article on the Bevel's Hardware layout that was featured in OGR Magazine about 2 years ago...he has is own layout as part of his B&B....and volunteers/works at the Crewe VA Railroad Museum.
Here is Bobby Daniel, owner of Bevels Hardware in Blackstone Va. The store layout last holiday season drew over 30,000 visitors. This is his antique ice cream maker.
Here's pics of Ron's layout.
...and when it got dark, there were fireworks over the lake!
