Are all 5V PS-2 boards the same?
I recently acquired a Rail King F-3 in running condition. It has a tether that appears to have only has three wires active in it.
This is another question related to my old PS-2 Alco PA which has a blown amplifier (a new amplifier is on the way, but I am at the moment questioning my ability to de-solder the old amplifier without damaging the board).
If I can swap the board from the F-3 into the Alco, then load the Alco's sound file into it, that will solve the Alco's problem. I can attempt to replace the amplifier in the board I extract for other use (I have a Fairbanks Morse FM that is totally dead).
Are there any differences I should know about?
