Has anyone on this forum, ever done one or the other on the C&O 614?
If so how was the ride?
I had an interesting conversation with 2 old gentleman friends of mine who engineered both the C&O T-1's, as well as the 600 series 4-8-4's. They were discussing the ride difference of both locomotives compaired to the H series engines, and 4-8-2's vs their 300-490 series Hudsons. Very interesting conversations to be privey, to say the least!
Their minds went right back to the day without hesitation, and it seemed they had just gotten off one or the other engine they were discussing.
Many times they reflected on occurances that, arose during their many trips over the C&O System!
Seemed the 600 series 4-8-4's when discussing, figuratively rode like a Cadillac!..........................................................................................Brandy
