I have just set up my DCS WiFi unit and have encountered an out of control situation with 2 different locomotives. I'll be ramping up the speed and all of a sudden, the speed indicator will jump up to 120 mph and the only way to stop the train is to drop power to the track. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
I've upgraded my Rev L TiU to the 5.0 software, the WiU is at 1.1 and the iPad app is the paid version and is up to date.

In my experience (with the iOS version of the app), the only way that the engine will speed up to 120 SMPH is if you tap or slide your finger to that part of the speedometer.

In both cases I was tapping the "+" button and could have hit the 120 on the speedometer, but it seems I didn't have any control from that point. I tried to hit the "-" button and the Shut Down, but with no effect.
I'll try to duplicate tonight and pay more attention to the steps taken.

I have an older ipad and have noticed that the speed and some of the other functions seem to be pretty touchy and I have to watch what my fingers are doing more closely. And I am more careful when using the ipad now too. I can't say that I have ever noticed losing control as you describe though. It may just take some getting used to.
If I tap the + button say four times, mine jumps to full speed also.
So move the slider with your finger to where you want it.
Also, set the maximum speed to something safe!
Oh and if it happens again, just press the direction button and it goes to zero.
I wasn't able to replicate the problem, but I did take the advice of setting the max speed and moving the slider instead of tapping.
