does the signal have a double coil in the base ie one to raise and one to lower the arm ,,,or does it just have one to make the are go up and gravity pull it back down,,,thanks

thanks i have an mth junker pulled the boards out,,,just want it to go up and down,,,,no train control,,,,,linkage it tempermental sticks in the up position at times,,,will keep tinkering
