How about going to www.youtube.com, clicking on an 844 (or 8444) video, and recording her whistle there?
Search for some of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs all digital CDs recorded by the late Brad S. Miller. Brad also released some "Sound Effects" high end CDs in 5.1DTS, under the Bainbridge lable.
All of Miller's later, all digital stuff, is spetacular, and if you have a high end 5.1 DTS sound system, you can crack the walls in your house with his stuff! He even recorded a few space shuttle launches for NASA with his digitel recording system.
Go to Google and type in "Sounds of Trains Volume 4" Amazon has the CD by Brad Miller for $8.99 and there are samples of the sound tracks including the 844.
