Its heartening to see such craftsmanship alive and well in the 21st Century that extends beyond the building in the restoration and preservation of steam.At the age of 61, its hard to believe we are blessed with both the Age of Steam and Steamtown as historical legacies.When I went out to IRM and looked at their steam collection, or the Camelback in St Louis, it naturally occurred to me that preservation and restoration to operational status are two entirely different animals, let alone circumnavigating running on someone else' s railroad.. That anything happens in this regard is a real tribute to those blood sweat and tears spent in the face of some pretty unfavorable odds by a relative handful of folks. Thanks Rich. Long may you run.
