Ran into a situation the other day that I have never had noticed before...........the American Flyer Steam Engine Brush holder has a number on the bearing side. Apparently there are three different numbers on them #1, #2 and a #3. Does anyone know what the difference is?
Also some bearings in the brush holder has a dot on them and some do not. I took two #2's and placed them side by side with the dots on the bearing and the bearings are in different places so it is not used for indexing. What does the dot mean or lack off? This also applies to the bearing in the chassis, some have dots and others do not.
