you've got too much time on your hands Steve looks great!
Dave, there's never enough time. I bet that thing has been in the que for a couple of years. Unlike some things I have bought, I at least remembered what I was going to do with this one.
Steve
I like it!

And voila! A new tinplate toy!
Looks great, like your layout.
It's Alive!!! You may be on to a new product.
Another creation from the Lost World of "Should have been made". And now it has been.
Steve,
As usual your fits of insanity turn into great ideas down stream, way cool buddy way cool indeed.
Hay I thought I was the only one who purchased stuff to engineer with, and then could not remember what it was for, glad you remembered this one, great stuff.

That is so cool; I like it a lot.

I like it too!
Steve
I've heard it said that there is a fine line between Insanity and Genius.
I do believe you're +1 on the Genius side of the line with this creation!
Dave
Actually the shell looks more like a Japanese Series 205 electric commuter car:
A neat(er) trick would be to equip them with two shorter trucks, like K-Line/RMT speeder truck blocks, and then repeat the process a half-dozen more times to make a whole commuter train out of it

I do have two more of them. Someday I'll make them work as a MU.

Nice thanks for the idear.
I often wonder about all the people in this hobby and if we are all afflicted with a mental disease. Many of you have read my rants about keeping to a "budget" model railroad but no matter how hard I try my purchases still average a few hundred dollars per month. In January my purchases were already a couple of hundred for accessories, scenic supplies and just today I bought some Ross Switches. If I were to guess the average model railroader spends at least $500 /month on his hobby. The OP probably got off cheap.
