Have to burry my dad today. His dad got him into trains and he got me into trains. We enjoyed them with my kids and built a small layout for my nephews. I don't think I will ever look at my trains the same way.

Sincere sympathies to you and your family from all on the OGR staff.
You were truly blessed to have a father and grandfather who inspired and supported your entry into the hobby, and it's great that their memories will be with you whenever you spend time with your own trains.

Sorry to learn about the loss of your Dad. You have many friends on our Forum, and thank you for allowing us to express our condolences to you and your family.
I am sure your Dad from above would want you to cherish your memories of the two of you sharing in this hobby, and I am also sure he would want you to continue in his memory. My Dad also loved our O-Gauge trains and I often think of how much pleasure it brought to the two of us. These are always happy thoughts and happy memories. I sure hope you see it that way as well.
I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. I think your love of trains is a legacy from him and from
your grandfather. I lost my Dad in 1979 and he too introduced me to this wonderful
hobby when I was little. I honor him in a small way by adopting his nickname on
the Forum.

dochoot;
So sorry to hear that.
I know how you feel. 7 years ago this May for me and I still miss him.
He is the one that got my family into trains as well.
Take Care and God Bless
