I don't believe I have ever posted much on the forum about my love for the military and space trains that have been produced over the years.  Some time ago, my wife helped me build a 4' by 8' layout that we installed in our guest loft where we display and run our collection of post war military and space items.  I am posting some pictures here for you all to see.  I have many more items that are still in boxes but only have so much room on the layout.  Feel free to post any pictures you have of your military themed layouts and as always, thanks for looking!!

Again...thanks everyone!!  I am super impressed by the number of you that have looked and responded.  It is obvious that the military and space items bring back some neat memories.

By the way, I have much more in boxes...like about 30 Minuteman missile cars....  I planned to have a postwar military train that would go over an uncoupling track and launch each of the missiles as the cars slowly went over the electromagnet.

It has been sold, but I watched it for a while.

Hi Michael, it's a nice set and one of the more difficult one's to find in good shape.  I have two of the sets and did not pay anywhere close to that price.  One of my sets was new in the box with two additional Lionel Army cars at less than half the price.  The other Army locomotive was upgraded by Alex, with TMCC, RS and fan driven smoke unit.  One of my favorite engines.  But if someone is willing to pay, to each his own.

Alan what's the story here first a terrific layout, then if that's not enough you are building an outdoor layout and finally this super neat layout. what do you do in your spare time????? even tho i'm a 2railer and most of my Lionel trains came with tinplate track there is something magical about super o track.

one last question what else are you hiding from us????
