Just felt like I should post this. I placed a small order from JT's Mega Steam and the items were shipped quickly. In my package was a bottle of Nada scent smoke fluid at no charge. I was considering trying the smoke fluid but have always used the brand that the train manufacturer made so I didn't order any. Now that he sent my a bottle I tried it and liked the no scent. I think small things like this go a long way in customer service. I will not hesitate to order from here again.

ALWAYS A FAVORITE STOP IN THE YORK ORANGE HALL. JEB IS GOOD PEOPLE!!
I really like the different scents of Mega Steam. However, on my MTH engines, I recently noticed that that MTH smoke fluid produces a much more opaque (white and thick) smoke than the Mega Steam. I also tried LGB smoke fluid, but that wasn't better.
Jeb is one heck of a good guy. His product is pretty good as well!
I only use JT MEGA STEAM, I refuse to use another brand. I like Gingerbread and I use 95% of the time when I run
Nada for me. I have accumulated quite a variety of brands but I add a few drops of Nada to all of them.
I would try the Cedar if someone knows if it is close to the Flyer scent.
100% Mega Steam for me. Love the smoke pellet scent!
I use this product and love it.
I just purchased a large bottle of pine scent at Amherst.

I would say that the MS version of cedar is much milder than the old flyer scent. Many feel that supersmoke cedar scent is close to flyer's original but it doesn't produce the MS level of smoke.
I use diesel power, cedar and campfire. All are excellent with great smoke output from a MTH Premier GP35.
OK on the Cedar, thank you. Super Smoke has always seemed right to me even though there is another brand the Flyer guys prefer. My layout is 3r so Lionel and Nada get used the most. I also have some from Pat's Trains, K-Line, MTH you know how they accumulate.
I like and use JT Mega Steam 'Coal' and 'Deisel' smoke fluids, which I find them to work very well, smell mostly like the actual smoke and last much longer than other brands.
And yes! I am old enough to remember what coal smoke, from steam locomotives, smells like.

Anormal1 makes the best cedar scent!
Pretty looking
Good luck, John
Those ALCOs should be blowing black smoke !! I have used JTs fluid, works good but too much $$ so I brew my own.
My wife has always been bothered by train smoke regardless of the brand I used. About a year ago I came across JT Mega Steam at a train show in Dulles. I bought a few different scents, and this Christmas I tried JT Mega Steam "Peppermint" in my Flyer Polar Express under the tree. Not only did it not bother her breathing, she actually liked the smell. Nothing like keeping the peace in the Hall household!

Great stuff! I use it all the time now.
The MARX smell STINKS! Then again, the original MARX smoke STINKS!
The best smoke fluid. I like Grandpa's Pipe Smoke. That's the best!!
Peppermint, Pine, and Bacon are our current favorites.
I use mostly JTs Mega Steam. I have Grandpa's Pipe Smoke, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Wood Stove and Fire Place. I also like Super Smoke and pretty fond of Lionel Premium Smoke. Mega Steam prices are good. Two bottles cost me $10 plus $5 shipping. One place I was going to order Lionel Premium they wanted $15 shipping for a 2oz bottle. I'll stick with Mega Steam.

Dean, Glad to hear your wife likes it. Our underlining mottoes are: "Is she's not happy, you're not happy" and "Happy wife makes for happy life!" With our line of 50 different scents there is certain to be a "wife-pleaser" in the group. Makes scents to me! Thanks to everyone for their comments and support!

"World's finest smoke fluid"
Proudly make right here in the U.S.A.
I bought MEGA STEAM last year before Christmas their Holiday Scents and wehave had a great time using them in the Lion Chief Enginesand enjoying the scents that are emitted throughout the house.
Dean what you accidentally discovered is that PEPPERMINT is an important "Essential OIL". Over the last Summer I became aware of the medicinal use of "Essential Oils" and ended up buying some diffusers and a series of "E.O.'s"
and have witnessed subtle behavioral changes in our household.
Peppermint if a great pick me up, combats fatigue, headaches and just plain smells nice.
I wonder if the Mega Steam folks use a type of the essential oils in their products as this qwould be a great way to "DIffuse" them throughout the house.!!
Imagine telling your wife you're running the trains for "medical reasons"!!!!!!!
Maybe it could be a tax writeoff!~!!!!
Have a great day!!
