this is probably a no brainer but i wanted to be sure. for an mth aba unit will i need to set up both a units seperately. b is non powered.

Another "duh" moment. I have struggled through getting the ABA all plugged together on the programming track, program it, then take it apart to move it to the track where we plan to run it. Like dozens of times. And all I needed to do was take the lead A.

What has been said above is all correct… with one exception.
All the MTH HO engines built to date are powered individually and must be programmed individually. There are no HO slave units.
We're getting more and more HO folks reading this forum because it is THE place on the web to get good accurate info about DCS. I wanted to throw that detail in there just incase an HO modeler drops in on this thread.
