Has anyone tried to make an ACS-64 (Amtrak "City Sprinter") from an MTH ALP-46?  The cab ends on the ACS-64 are much more contoured so would definitely take some sculpting to pull it off.  However, the two engines are generally similar, requiring minimal work on the sides and roof.

I have requested to MTH several times that their model of the NJT ALP 46 could be modified to be a ACS 64. I did this again just two weeks ago after seeing the Bachmann model in HO scale but each time no reply. I am losing interest in our hobby because neither MTH or Lionel have introduced any new locomotive models in recent years. I do have an Burlington E5A and B models on order from Sunset Models. In the past two years the only locomotive I have purchased is also from Sunset Models. It is the Union Pacific SD7. Have they run out of money or out of locomotives to model?
