Adding backup light to Lionel 0-4-0 Switcher locomotive | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have a LionChief 0-4-0 switcher that I purchased last year at a show from Gryzbowski’s sale inventory. Nice little locomotive, but unlike the newer models from Lionel, the backup light on the tender is not functional. Does anyone know of a kit for adding an LED light to a tender like this, or have advice for how to do this? Thanks!

Simple. Go-to model train software buy their universal led which is either a 3 mm or 5 mm led connected to a board . Connect the power wire to the roller pick up of the tender and the other wire to the return line of the tender. Want it on or off then you can add a simple micro switch to the underside of the tender.
