My wife has a Lionel NYC R30 Subway set and wants to add figures to the interior, now that we have it up off the carpet on a table where she can see the insde.

Her dilema is that she doesn't neccessarily want to stick 'em in there permanently.  She is looking for a way to keep them from rolling around the inside of the cars, but be able to remove them without damaging the interior of the cars, such as the seats or floor.

Anyone have any experience with a product that sticks a little, not a lot?

Thanks in advance

Gary

wow! its funny that i am doing the exact same thing with the Lionel R-16 set, over the summer, i bought a assortment of believable sets of figures to be used in the cars. a lot of arms have to be sawed off and glued to produce "strap hangers"It seems no one offers these, waving figures help. The butts need filing on some to seat properly, i am going with hot glue because it glues enough but if you really need to remove them they will give.I blacked out the power cars plastic motor cover.i have been searching for pictures from the seventy's of people and will size them down on the scanner and paste these to the blacked out motor housing.and maybe add standing figures in the doorways, butts facing out like real life!Gman.

I use "museum wax" which can be purchased at most hobby shops or stores such as Michael's.   Very easy to apply and remove with no residual effects.  Just wipe gently with a soft rag.  I added people to my subway cars both standing and sitting  and it is now going on 8 years without any no problems.  Good luck
