I am in the middle of selling my late husband's large collection. I have the 12782 large bridge, i have the control box and power cord, but it seems there is an additional cord, possibly a ribbon cord, with twelve prongs. Can someone help me with this and is someone interested in purchasing it.

That cord is not "additional", it is needed to connect between the control box and the bridge. the bridge cannot be controlled without it (at least not in any simple way).
I'm assuming here you are describing the cord with the same sex connector on both ends.
If you are instead describing a connector with a different sex connectors on each end (i.e., it could connect to itself if you put the 2 ends together), then you are describing an extra extension cable that was available from Lionel quite a few years back.
