Hi All:

I have a friend that lives several hours away from me that has been stymied for quite some time because he is command control illiterate. He has a new in the box pre-Legacy old style TMCC w/Cab1 controller.

I have zero experience with TMCC of any era, so I'm no help to him.

Question: Do any of you know of an online resource (how-to video, etc?) that takes a beginner and walks them through the steps showing how to address each locomotive? If so, I can link it to him and hopefully help him get off center.

Thank you for any input you can offer.

Andre

Thank you so much guys. I have sent the link to this thread to my friend.

YouTube:

I did search YouTube, but only turned up TMCC Legacy tutorials (such as was linked above). Not knowing what sort of differences there would be between the two systems (Legacy vs the old one), I didn't send him the links.

I'm confident you guys will supply the information he would need. It will then be up to HIM to get off-center and do it.

Andre

There should be a large instruction manual that came with the original TMCC command sets, Base and Cab1.  The manual is very informative.

The complete guide to command control      Click on the underlined phrase to link the Lionel reference/instruction manual.  (48 pages. )

I still use the manual to address and set-up TMCC consists, which has been simplified with the Legacy Command bases and handheld.
