Advice on "winterizing" resin village houses for X-mas layout

I inherited a set of Thomas Kinkade Hawthorne Village houses I would like to use on my planned Xmas layout. As pictured below some are winter houses ready to be placed but some are decorated for summer with colorful flowers and of course no snow. They are very nice buildings and I'd like to use them so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on painting the summer ones and/or adding a snow effect so they look right in a winter layout. They are made with a hard resin.

White paint should do it. You might want semi-gloss to match the structures that have the snow effect.

You can probably get some real plastic snow from Dept 56 (get the fine stuff) and sprinkle it where you want it. I would try it on the wet paint in a limited way to see how it works before I went "all in".

You’ll find many topics about adding “snow detailing” to house roofs…But here is the condensed version…

Paint the snow area first…I use a premium quality ultra-white flat wall paint with a built-in primer…let dry thoroughly…

Sprinkle on clear glitter and mica flakes over a coat of white glue…let dry thoroughly…

The finishing touch is a product called “Snow-Tex”…your local craft will probably have it…it adds texture, is bright white and dries quickly…

I’d also recommend you go to a thrift store and buy a couple of cheap ceramic houses and practice on them first…

It took me a while to get around to it but I finally gave this a try. Here is my modified house. I put on several coats of paint them sprinkled the soft flake snow while the paint was wet. It's definitely not perfect but I'm pretty happy with the results. Always room for improvement though. Thanks a lot for the advice. If this fails I can always resort to the Hollywood sign idea.
