Purchased an AIU from a friend, no box, no instructions, no phone cord.
Is there a certain type of phone cord that needs to be used?

TIU to AIU is a 6 conductor phone cable. Check out this thread. 25' seems to be the maximum length. There is a link for a source for the cable in the thread also.

I got my crossover 6 wire cables from this place. Inexpensive and fast service.

Thanks guys. I had just forgot what type of cable I needed. Thanks for the source! I found one and got it working! I do however need more for when it's time to place in on the layout.
