Thought some folks might enjoy a peek at our club railroad. We are a group of about 6-8 guys comprised of mostly real railroaders and me as the resident technician. First post will be some vids shot just last week, then I will post some from our archive.

Our club railroad is loosely based on the Capital District of Albany, NY around the D&H and the NYC. We are now introducing New England roads to the railroad by expanding our locomotive and rolling stock fleet. I have more vids to post, but they take a looooong time to upload. Thanks for viewing.

Did you modify the Rs11 to EOB to run with the C424?
How is the mfg of the 50' PS-1 red D&H boxcar?
Excellent layout.
Thanks.
Chris, we have had excellent results running Odyssey with EOB, but right now our only Odyssey are two RS-11's and some E8's. We run long lashups, so dummies play a big role too, but with our grades we need a minimum of two power units for our long freights. The Atlas 628's are insane good pullers, so I try to sneak one in on every D&H lashup. The Lionel Rs11 and Atlas C628 get along fine, so I am looking for more EOB and Odyssey locos. I really wish Lionel had a C420 with odyssey. I can't get Legacy to get along with anything lashup wise. ERR seems to only lash up with ERR, and we have a lot of ERR upgrades, and even then I have to ensure matching of MFG's and tweak them. Because we are alco fanatics, I'm trying to source late model Weaver Alcos to ERR upgrade.
SD40-2, the 50 red PS-1 is a custom painted Atlas. I have a great custom painter on my team and we have some very unique D&H items because of him.

A little wishful thinking on the amount of tracks in Altamont, and an over powered pig train...

A little New England flavor.

Grrrreat Stuff!
Very impressive!
Looks great! The swinging pilots and three rail track always bother me more watching a video than in person, which is probably due to being able to see the full impact of the layout during an in person visit.
Gotta love those lightning stripes! Nice work!

Love the scenic backdrops! Reminds me of living up in Corith.
How refreshing it is to see Alco dominate a layout.
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
3 Rail AJCO Doctor:
Your club has created a wonderful layout. ALCO, the D&H and NYC are among my favorite things. My dad worked for ALCO & I got to visit the Erie Blvd. shops as a kid. I have D&H engines from Lionel, Weaver & Atlas and a good deal of rolling stock on my small layout. Since I am local to you (12205), I'd love to visit sometime.
