Alternate MTH Smoke Unit resistors

Are there any resistors that can be used for MTH smoke units. A while back I found some ceramic resistors for my Atlas locomotives where I removed the ceramic coating and it worked great. Has anyone else done this or am I in the wrong forum?

If you look for a 16 ohm 5W square ceramic resistor, cracking it will give you a nice MTH resistor.

This Yageo SQP500JB-16R is one such resistor. I crack the outer shell in a vise and out pops the resistor I need.
