After watching the video of the Legacy Users Group meeting, I realized that I forgot to submit a question I have about the SensorTrack:

I remember hearing something about Lionel developing an alternate way to deploy it. As best I recall, the infrared receiver would be available separate from the track section, and the hardware for controlling it would be available in a module similar to the other LCS modules (WiFi, ASC2, BPC2, etc.). This would make it more feasible to integrate the SensorTrack functionality into a layout: it would be easier and more economical to put more sensors into a layout, and the sensors could be programmed and reprogrammed without having to physically go to each one.

I'm interested in this alternate way to use the SensorTrack functionality. I'm wondering if it is actually in the cards, and, if so, when it would be available.

Cheers!

Keith

In regards to the sensor device... It might be rabbit... it just might be.

BTW with the High Rail app or eTrain you can program them without physically touching them.

Well, Marty, I certainly wouldn't ask you to eat the rabbit (they're too cute to eat, anyhow):

I'm really excited about how this will expand the potential of the SensorTrack functionality. It will be so much easier and more economical to deploy multiple sensors around a layout, and it will be possible to program them remotely without needing another app.

Cheers!

Keith

Legacy system, sensors, IRV2, power supply unit...I guess. How do you select a sensor and program it?

Come to Legacy meeting. I plan on finding out before then.

I see now that the lone sensor has buttons and leds on it. So same as sensor track...or use the app
