Very cool set I picked up. All hand made from sheet aluminum and a small bit of brass. Frames are wood, with wooden formers inside. The tender has a battery box, then tethers to all the cars for lighting. The motor is from a low end Lionel Atlantic type. All lettering is hand painted. It runs nice. Cars need a few epoxy repairs in places plus I will switch it to pick ups on each car for lighting.

I would do the same thing with the pick ups, no doubt about it, when you
finalize it, please post some pictures on the tracks, with her lit up!

Finally got a video posted of last months TTOS SP meet. The Hiawatha got quite a bit of run time. Still have not modified the lighting.

Steve, that's a good-looking train! Also saw that restored multi-colored Dorfan bridge in the video. Also the first time I've seen a Lionel center-cab loco pulling a streamlined passenger train. All good fun!
