Very cool set I picked up. All hand made from sheet aluminum and a small bit of brass. Frames are wood, with wooden formers inside. The tender has a battery box, then tethers to all the cars for lighting. The motor is from a low end Lionel Atlantic type. All lettering is hand painted. It runs nice. Cars need a few epoxy repairs in places plus I will switch it to pick ups on each car for lighting.

I was not there when he brought his small collection into the shop to sell so I have no idea who he was. He told the owner he had lusted for a Lionel or Flyer Hiawatha but would never have the $$$$ so he built his own. I have another  Hiawatha in 3/16 scale made from pre war Cleveland Models kits, powered by a highly modified Marx CP type engine.
